This snowboarder-approved shell was successful after we noted that the 686 Gore-tex Core Jacket was extremely comfortable to wear throughout a visit to the slopes. Although it seems loose-fitting like conventional snowboarding jackets, we love that it doesn’t constrict mobility or really feel cumbersome to put on. The outer layer is made with a water-proof Gore-tex material that feels high-quality at first contact and prevents any water from seeping via the fabric thanks to the taped seams and DWR end. While we found the massive dimension of the pockets and chest vents to be slightly awkward, the powder skirt and wrist gaiters have been significantly helpful on the hill.
